“The opposite of spiritual is not material but egotistical.” – Michael Pollan
The biggest wound of our culture and each individual living in it is the wound of separation – between body and mind, me and others, us and them, humanity and nature, self and spirit, material and mystical. We also tend to take sides; some of us ‘know it better’ because we studied, measured, and analysed; others do so because we practice and have mystical experiences.
What if we didn’t have to choose?
Human societies have been trying to make sense of their environment, the world, the universe, since they have existed. What is striking is that through quantum mechanics and particle physics, our modern western culture came to a very similar understanding about reality as millennia-old mystical traditions. If you are reading this, most probably you have a connection to both sides – you are probably enjoying the benefits of science and technology in some way, and as any human, you probably have a connection to the spiritual, something bigger beyond your own self.
Come join us at an embodied communal exploration to marry both sides, to move and dance together and marvel at the mystical that lies deep within each of our cells, connecting us to the rest of our universe.
